MacGyver Short

The script for the piece I wrote many years prior to producing it. At the time, I just purchased an HD camera and really wanted to shoot a piece, then recalled this particular script.  It was an interesting piece because it was based on an situation I found myself in, one night at a “Cowboy” style bar/club.  A few older cowboys made the men’s room quite awkward and I showed myself out very quickly thereafter.

As a writer, I find myself constantly fascinated with the intricacies of dialogue in conversation and uncomfortable situations, especially those that run a little longer than desired.  And as a director, I wanted to emphasize the social awkwardness that could occur in a men’s room, especially if engaged in deep conversation at a urinal.
